Match the problem to the part of the system that can change it

Several development services can produce similar-looking screens while solving different problems. The useful distinction is the point where the current task fails and who has authority to change it. Use these paths to frame a discussion about your website or application.

Visitors cannot identify the relevant offer

Start with business website development. Review service names, page structure, supporting evidence and the inquiry route together. If a visitor needs a technical reference before staff can respond, the page should explain that requirement in context rather than simply adding another required field.

People can see or change the wrong information

Start with role-based portals. Identify the account, organization, record and action. Then examine the actual protected request. A visual correction to navigation may be useful, but it does not resolve an underlying authorization rule by itself.

Staff cannot tell what stage work has reached

Start with workflow applications. Define what each state means, who can change it and what should happen after a correction. If the organization has not agreed whether “reviewed” permits release, that business decision comes before the new badge or reminder.

Systems disagree about transferred information

Start with API integration when the task involves an ongoing exchange. Establish identity, field ownership and recovery. Choose data migration when a defined body of information is moving to a new home with a cutover and reconciliation requirement. The two kinds of work can overlap, but their operating responsibilities differ.

A task fails for some users or conditions

Quality and accessibility work examines a defined journey and its interaction conditions. Software stabilisation investigates a reproducible application failure and the system's ability to carry a maintainable repair. The evidence may lead from one service to the other; the initial description should preserve the actual observation.

The next maintainer cannot act independently

Maintenance and handover addresses account ownership, deployment, dependencies and operating instructions. Select a task the incoming maintainer must perform and use it to examine the handover. A document's length is less informative than whether the intended person can use it.

If the right path is unclear, send a short inquiry with the actor, current tool and first uncertain result. That is enough to begin identifying the relevant investigation.
